The SC ruled that it has the power to directly grant a divorce if a marriage has irretrievably broken down.

The Supreme Court reserved its Judgement in the CBI/ED Tenure Extension case after four days of hearings” This case raised concerns on the independence of the top investigative bodies in India.

The SC held that the call for a floor test by Maharashtra’s Governor was illegal.

On the same day, it held that the power of administration over NCT Delhi should be vested in its elected government. Note: the union has already contradicted this judgement with an ordinance that has brought the power back to the Union.

Later that day, they completed hearings in the Marriage Equality case and reserved Judgement

Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Justice M.R. Shah retired after around 4-year tenure.

Two days later, Justices K.V. Vishwanathan and P.K. Mishra were appointed to take their place

Jallikattu and other Bull-taming sports were upheld, and the Court said that minimising cruelty was enough in these cases.

The Supreme Court invited fresh bids for an AI transcription Software, to improve the live transcription of Constitution Bench hearings.
