The Supreme Court is hearing a challenge to Parliament’s 103rd Amendment to the Constitution. The Bench comprises CJI Ranjan Gogoi and Justice Sanjiv Khanna. Twenty-four petitions have been tagged to the case.

The case was listed for today. However, it did not appear before the Chief Justice’s court, as he was hearing a Constitution Bench matter. As a result, the case was listed before Justice Bobde’s Court. Justices SA Bobde and Abdul Nazeer did not hear the matter and, instead, listed it for April 8th 2019.

Senior Advocate Rajeev Dhawan requested the Court to refer the matter to a Constitution Bench.
