Sabarimala Review Hearing #1: Review Petition Admission Hearing
Sabarimala ReviewToday, 13th November 2018, a five judge-Bench heard 49 review petitions in Sabarimala Temple Entry. The Bench agreed to hear all review petitions in open court on 22nd January 2018. Note that the Bench has not admitted the review petitions.
The Bench emphasised that it is not placing a stay order on its 28th September judgment.
The Bench comprised CJI R Gogoi and the four Justices from the Bench that delivered the 28th September judgment: Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice R Nariman, Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice I Malhotra. The hearing occurred behind closed doors in the CJI’s Chamber.
