Education and Career as an Advocate

Justice Chudalayil Thevan Ravikumar obtained his Law degree from the Government Law College, Kozhikode. He enrolled as an advocate in 1986 and mainly argued civil, criminal, service and labour matters. He also served as a Government Pleader for many years under Advocate General M.K. Damodaram.

Career as a Judge

He became an Additional Judge of the Kerala High Court in January 2009. He was appointed as permanent Judge in December 2010. On August 17th, 2021, Justice Ravikumar became the fifth judge to be elevated to the Supreme Court directly from his parent High Court of Kerala. He will serve for a tenure of four years, and retire in 2025.
